I'm having fun with this theme. I like being only partially in control of what happens with these types of paintings and "finding" horses within the color shapes. What a great way to stay loose.

Another Rock Art Horse

Wow Caren these are very loose and very fun looking. I don't think I've had the pleasure of painting this carefree. The closest I've gotten was to cut up some old watercolors to collage them into art. Did you see this one artist's painting in the DSDF portraits? Check out the watercolor portrait... this link is not the artist's but the recipient however he had more images there to see the painting http://deanos-den.blogspot.com/
Is it cold there?
Erika, It's fun to paint like that, it's partly planned, partly spontaneous. I learned from Lian Zhen (lianspainting.com)
I love the collage watercolor that Carolee did, thanks for the link. I want to try that.
It's not cold here, it's sunny and beautiful. We did not get the cold blast that hit the upper part of the country.
! How did I miss these? ! These petroglyphy paintings are wonderful. I actually made something quite similar some years ago and the shape turned out to be a horse. Next time I come across it, I'll scan it for you.
Suzanne, these are tons of fun to make. I love letting the painting partially dictate what it's going to be. More postings like this on the way.
Love to see your similar painting when you run across it.
I like these. I might try to do this someday to see what I can get. Not sure exactly how you did it. I have been feeling sad the last 2 days. The man inside the Lost in Space robot, Bob May, passed away Sunday.
