Trial Size. This is a 4"x6" acrylic on watercolor paper painting. I painted the blue, yellow, and red colors abstractly then "found" horse shapes by painting negatively with the light blue-gray color.
I've been an artist ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My favorite subject has always been horses, horses are the thread that has run through my life. It is most rewarding when a painting reminds someone of a horse they know, or a soaring image reminds them of the freedom that the horse represents. I love the way this turned out - very much. I once found a horse during pastel process and it's still one of my personal faves.
